Replace Filters on Your AirDoctor 5500

AirDoctor 5500 Filter Replacement is a reasonably basic procedure that doesn’t involve much effort. It is virtually the same for the AirDoctor 5000, AD5500, and AD5000 versions. New filters provide adequate airflow through a purifier and ensure proper operation of the purifying equipment in terms of dust and odor removal.
This is the initial step for folks who want to know how to change AirDoctor filters. First of all, you have to switch off the purifier and disconnect it from electricity. Then you may take off the side cover of the purifier and pull out the pre-filter, Premium Carbon VOC filter, and UltraHEPA filter. The filters include several tabs that make it easy to pull them out without a lot of effort.
Then you have to insert the new Premium Carbon VOC and UltraHEPA filters into the device. The filters have arrows on them indicating the appropriate installation direction. So it is necessary to verify the arrows on the filters before installation. It is not recommended to push the filters during installation. The pre-filter should be cleaned after its installation, before it is installed into the machine.
Clean the pre-filter of dust, hair, and other particles with a vacuum cleaner. This technique is small, yet it may have an influence on keeping a consistent airflow. Thus, during the normal maintenance of the AirDoctor, it is important to check and clean the pre-filter from time to time to avoid the dust layer from building up.
Replace the machine’s side cover when the filters are placed. First, the bottom tabs of the cover need to fit into the holes, and then the cover must be fastened to the device with a gentle snapping action. If there are filters on either side of the purifier that require replacing, then the process should be done with the other side of the machine.
Once the replacement process is completed, you are ready to plug in your purifier and turn it on. The filter indicator lights may indicate the last filter state; thus, you will need to reset them. To achieve this, press the Auto and Dim buttons simultaneously for three seconds. Then the filter indicators will be reset.
Replacing the filters ensures your air purifier is functioning correctly. Besides, by changing the filter often, you may avoid any limitations due to excessive use of the filter. Genuine AirDoctor replacement filters are manufactured for use in compatible AirDoctor air purifiers. So you may select them when it comes time to change them.
