How to Change AirDoctor Filters Easily
Replacing the filters in an AirDoctor 5500 is a reasonably straightforward procedure that doesn't involve much effort. The AirDoctor 5000, AD5500, and AD5000 are quite similar. New filters provide adequate airflow through a purifier and ensure proper operation of the purifying equipment in terms of dust and odor removal.
Here is the first step for folks seeking how to change AirDoctor filters. First of all, you have to switch off the purifier and disconnect it from electricity. Then you may remove the side cover of the purifier and pull out the pre-filter, Premium Carbon VOC filter, and UltraHEPA filter. The filters include various tabs that make it easy to pull them out with little effort.
Then you need to place the new Premium Carbon VOC and UltraHEPA filters inside the device. The filters have arrows on them that indicate the appropriate installation direction. Therefore, one should verify the arrows on the filters before installation. Forcing the filters during installation is not recommended. After installation, the pre-filter must be cleaned before it is installed into the machine.
Use a vacuum cleaner to clear the pre-filter of dust, hair, and other particles. While this technique is minimal, it may have an influence on keeping a consistent airflow. Therefore, it is important to inspect and clean the pre-filter from time to time during normal maintenance of the AirDoctor to avoid the dust layer from building up.
Once the filters are in place, replace the machine’s side cover. First, the bottom tabs of the cover must line up with the holes, and then the cover must be fastened to the device with a gentle snapping action. If there are filters on each side of the purifier that require replacing, then the process should be repeated with the opposite side of the machine.
Once the replacement process has been finished, you are ready to plug in your purifier and turn it on. The filter indicator lights may reflect the last filter state; hence, you will have to reset them. To achieve this, simultaneously press the Auto and Dim buttons for three seconds. Then the filter indicators will be reset.
Replacing the filters keeps your air purifier operating correctly. Furthermore, by changing the filter often, you may avoid any limitations due to heavy use of the filter. The genuine AirDoctor replacement filters are designed for the compatible AirDoctor purifiers. So you may pick them when it is time to change them.
